Pegasus our newsletter is sent out to every member .It is usually produced every two months & as well as an editorial & general news of the group we try to include interesting articles, mostly about cars or driving. Our next edition is Number 13  due out around the beginning of April. If any one has any articles, stories, quizzes etc, which other members may find interesting to read, please contact Jenny, our Newsletter editor, who will be extremely grateful to receive any contributions, or comments on previous articles!!

A very early notification will be given to all members that the Annual General Meeting of the Forester Advanced Drivers Group will be  held on a normal guidance Sunday in October at Greasley Sports centre, commencing at 9.30 am.  All members of the Group are invited to attend and a form will be given to each of you  to nominate relevant members to the committee. This will be enclosed with the newsletter nearer the date.  Some years we also welcome one of our examiners at this meeting & he will invite questions about the test after the meeting. We also try to hold a shortened Guidance driving Session  after the meeting.

This is probably the one occasion in the year when we ask ALL our members to try to attend. It is the  committee, elected from the members that runs the group but it is important that we hear  everyone's view.

As many of us as possible enjoy a Christmas meal together, although in 2007 we opted to have a New Year meal instead, which seemed to be fairly popular. Most years we arrange a Treasure Hunt which takes place on a Sunday afternoon in the  Summer. Hopefully we also arrange a barbecue, weather  permitting, a games evening or a quiz.  Sometimes on Sunday mornings we have a guest speaker e.g. a First Aid talk with reference to road accidents, Tyre care & management or maybe one of the examiners. In the near future we hope to have some-one from the Highways Agency explaining about the M1 widening, & also an evening visit to the Nottingham tram depot. 

The committee have several other  ideas for events throughout the year, including visits and theatre outings. Check on Sundays or on this page for updates and invitations!
